    About UTS ePRESS

UTS ePRESS is the digital, open access scholarly publishing arm of the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). We publish high quality scholarly titles across a wide range of academic disciplines, with particular strengths in the humanities, arts and social sciences.

Focusing on open access digital formats, UTS ePRESS currently publishes scholarly journals, books and conference proceedings. We are the leading scholarly publisher of peer reviewed open access journals in Australasia.

UTS ePRESS is a not-for-profit publisher. There are no charges for readers to access any UTS ePRESS digital content and no publishing fees for journal authors. However, to help support the significant cost of book production, UTS ePRESS will introduce proportional and transparent Book Processing Charges (BPCs) from January 2020. The new BPC range will be shown on this site before that date. A list of open access funders of BPCs is available here. As an open access press, UTS ePRESS will continue its strong record of representing research voices from around the world. Therefore, partial BPC waivers for authors unable to source funding elsewhere will be considered on a case by case basis.

Established in 2004, UTS ePRESS aims to:

UTS ePRESS is committed to ethics, integrity and best practice in publishing and Open Access. UTS ePRESS and our journals are members of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association (OASPA) and follow their codes of conduct and best practice guidelines for publishers and journal editors. Our journals are listed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), with eight titles so far awarded the DOAJ Seal for their adherence to exceptionally high publishing standards and best practice.

The views and opinions expressed in the works published via UTS ePRESS are those of the individual authors and do not reflect an official policy or position or statement of UTS ePRESS or the University of Technology Sydney.
